Life Verse or Passage

Do you have a life verse, or maybe a favorite verse?  If so, share it with us.  If not, study and find one.  When I was asked as a young person to find one for myself, I thought it might be neat to have but would really be of no use to me.  Now that I am passed the midway point of my life, there have been many times when I have simply went to my verse in my mind and the Lord has used it to help keep me on track.  God says in His Word that His Word will not return void, it can and will make a difference if we allow it to.  My verse in Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."  I have not always been able to live it, but it always gives me a good target.  That is what a life verse should do.

Hebrews 12:1

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Since unfortunately, I tend to be worried often, this verse has encouraged me. When I read this verse the Lord tells me, "Don't worry about it, cast your weight on me and continue on. I will help you finish your race. Just walk in patience."

Well I never really had a lives verse. But for a while now I have been quoting this scripture in my mine(not knowing it all by heart). In times I feel defeated or away from God. I am glad that in those moments I have that promise. Those words come in my mind and comfort me. I will work on memorizing it :)

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
