Can I go to Heaven?        Absolutely!

Going to Heaven is not as hard as you think!

Picture
God's Living Word
People are heard all the time saying "Trust Me!" For the most part  if someone hasn't done anything not to earn our trust we will normally feel good about giving it to them. Many cases we've probably even given our trust to a friend, a loved one, or an acquaintance already knowing that they aren't worthy because they've done things in the past not to deserve it.  But our good heartedness gets the better of us a lot of times and we trust them anyway. Then once again they let us down and we question our judgement, wondering how we could be so foolish. It has probably happened to all of us.

When God asks us to trust him, most of us have such a difficult time.  Is it because we can't actually see him?  Or, is it that we believe we are not eligible to trust him?  We all, more than likely, can think of a time or a reason we gave to ourselves not to trust God.

Don't worry God already knows why we don't trust him and he understands. He knows our nature better than we understand our nature.  Why is that? Because he's the one that created us.  God ,our father, knows all of our faults and sins.  That is why his Son Jesus Christ was sent to redeem us.  Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to spend eternity with him.  He has given us a way of escape through the Gift of His Son.

The Bible teaches that "And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely".  However, we see that the Bible declares by nature all mankind is spiritually dead and alienated from God.  In other words, sinners are not introduced to Christ of their own accord.  It is not until God first convicts the sinner through the power of the Holy Spirit and the sinner chooses to receive Christ through a willing heart that he will repent, trust, and come to Christ.

The Bible teaches that this gift of grace is sovereignty given by God to everyone, but must be accepted by the individual for salvation to occur.  Our church is evangelical (evangelizing the lost), and we invite willing sinners to come to the saving knowledge of Christ.

You should now be able to understand and accept that Salvation is a free gift, apart from your own works:

For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourself: It is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God hath set forth to be propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God: Romans 3:24-25

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Now if you are willing to make Jesus Lord of your life, bow your head and pray to Jesus Christ from your heart and confess with your mouth that you believe the following truths and ask Him for the free gift of eternal life.  Once you have done this, God will write your name down in the Book of Life in heaven, and heaven will become your home for the eternity hereafter.

The sinner’s prayer.

I believe the following?

  1. I am a sinner and the penalty for my sin is eternity in the lake of fire.
  2. I am willing to repent (turn from my sin and turn towards Jesus Christ).
  3. That Jesus Christ is Lord.
  4. That Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried, and rose from the dead.
  5. That Salvation is a free gift only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and I can never earn it on my own “goodness” or good deeds.

If you prayed this prayer from the heart, that very moment you trusted Christ as your Savior, you were saved for eternity.   Salvation can Never be Lost or Taken Away.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 10:28

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God: that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.  1 John 5:13

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. Psalm 70:3

So, what does it mean to be Saved ???

_Please take a few minutes to view the videos or read the plan of salvation below, it will show you from the Bible how you can be 100% sure that if you died today heaven would be your home for eternity.

We must realize our condition as sinners:

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23

We are all sinners before God:

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Romans 3:10-12

You can not make it to heaven on your own righteousness:

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6

Realize the penalty for your Sin is Death

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Romans 6:23

That God will judge sin: Click here to view video

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20:12

We will stand before God and be judged for what we did in this life.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:11-12

Realize that you can not Work Off Your Sin Debt: Click here to view video

Not by works of the righteousness which we have done, But according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Titus 3:5

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:8-9

Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. His death allows us to be clothed in the righteousness of God. This is the only way we can be ready for judgment.

You must accept that Christ Died for You to Pay Your Sin Debt

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Understand that God gave his only begotten Son to pay for your sins on the cross so you can have the gift of eternal life.  What a gift!

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Corinthians 5:21

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Jesus Christ took our sins on His own body and died on the cross so we can be healed and not suffer the second death.

People are lead to believe they must do something to earn their way into Heaven. You don't get into heaven through church, baptism, speaking in tongues or the sacraments. The Word of God (The Bible) plainly states it is only through Jesus Christ.

Now you must confess and believe that Jesus Died for your sins, was Buried, and Rose from the Dead:

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9  Click to view video

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Corinthians 15:4
